The Brattleboro Farmers’ Market has begun the rebuilding process after sustaining serious flood damage during Hurricane Irene’s rains on Sunday.
The market is repairing large holes in the lower parking lots and vending circle caused by the flood waters and many individual vendors will be repairing or rebuilding their booths. Work will be ongoing this week with a big vendor and community-at-large work party on Thursday, September 1st, from 8 am to about 1 pm.
Friends and supporters of the market are invited to come to the work party and bring their rakes, shovels, workgloves and volunteerism. The farmers’ market plans to conduct business, to the fullest extent possible, on Saturday, September 3rd from 9am-2pm.
