South Pond in Marlboro Closed for Swimming and Fishing

The State has required that Marlboro close South Pond for swimming and fishing until further notice.  The water is presumed contaminated, and they are so busy checking drinking water that they won’t be able to test South Pond for a while.

While cookouts are still OK, the entrance is still not in good shape – not many can drive through, and the more that do, the worse it will get.  DO NOT park along the road near the entrance and walk in; the construction vehicles are trying to get through and they are allowed to move any car in their way by any means necessary.  Contact the AHMCC with any questions at 254-2501.
